Bill McKown: The South Strand Deserves Nothing Less!

 

In the Republican Primary on June 8th, 2010, voters in Horry County's District 5 will go to the polls in one of the most important elections in years.  In addition to choosing our next Governor, other Constitutional Offices and a new Congressman, we'll be selecting a new member of Horry County Council to represent the South Strand.  The question is which candidate has the working knowledge, experience, leadership and work-ethic to ensure that we continue to improve our quality of life?

 

Building on our long tradition of exceptional leaders, Bill McKown is the right candidate at the right time.  A successful small business owner, Bill knows the value of a dollar and understands that Horry County must live within its means - just like the thousands of good families whose hard-earned tax dollars are tough to come buy these days.

 

Armed with years of experience here in Horry County, Bill works hand-in-glove with federal and state leaders from our US Senators and Congressmen to State Senator Cleary and Rankin and House Members Hardwick and Viers. He serves as chairman of the Horry County Airport Advisory Committee and as Vice Chairman of the State Aeronautics Commission.  He also served as a member of Surfside Town Council and on the Board of the Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments and Grand Strand Area Transportation Study Policy Committee.
